He began his ministry as the Praise and Worship leader under his Fathers tutelage, Pastor Melvin Freeman Sr. of the Upper Room Pentecostal Tabernacle. Finally, following the Lords calling he returned home to his community in Windsor with a passion to minister to those who have been wounded by the church and by religion. Bishop Freeman is passionate about growing the kingdom of God and continues to spread the Gospel throughout his travels.

He loves to share his God given gift of bible knowledge in relation to current day life. He brings a vibrant, dynamic, spirit filled message that is sure to affect each and every individual in their own personal situation. As a past guest on The Word Network, Bishop Mel shared his testimony with the audience. He showed that no matter who we are, we all have struggles and we all fall short but God has a way of turning it all around for his Glory!
Pastor Kim Freeman
Kim Freeman, Sr. Pastor and Co-Founder of The City Church was born in Windsor ON on August 17th, 1968 to Elleanor Grayer and the late Dewight Bryant . She began her ministry under the watchful eye of Pastor Mel Freeman Sr. of the Upper Room Pentecostal Church in Windsor ON, while serving faithfully as a Windsor Police Officer for 18 years.

Following God’s calling on her life to begin full time ministry with her husband, she eventually retired her position and Pastored and Co-founded Bethlehem Fellowship. She then transferred to Florida to become an associate Pastor at Without Walls Int., and then on to Pastor and Co-found Destiny Center Church along side her gifted husband. Continuing to follow the calling of the Lord, their family returned to Windsor ON.

Her style is not only engaging through the use of props, but also impactful as she brings the word of God to life in a way that can relate to everyone.

She lives by the statement “Every Person Has a Purpose” which serves as her invitation to everyone, to bring forth their passions and desires to follow and serve Christ.

We reach out into the community and give people the opportunity to experience God in a way that we see every weekend, but some don't get to see outside of the church walls. We are reaching out to you! Dr. Brock would love for you to come and take that first step into the church walls and see what everyone is talking about.
